Natalya Phillips is a singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, recording artist, and producer whose work spans alternative soul and cinematic pop. Known for her expressive vocals, sophisticated melodies, and emotional sincerity, her career has encompassed songwriting, live performance, studio recording, and vocal work.
A prolific songwriter from an early age, Natalya began building an extensive catalog of original material as a child and established NKP Music Publishing Company in 2010. Early in her career, she performed among professional casts at San Diego's Old Globe Theatre and sang a NASA wake-up call broadcast to the astronauts aboard Space Shuttle Endeavour during its final mission.
Natalya appeared in Prince's A Million Days music video, along with several of his unreleased film projects, and later formed an artistic partnership with Prince from 2015–2016. Their collaboration included co-writing and recording at Paisley Park Studios.
From 2018–2021, Natalya Phillips released a collection of cinematic pop works under the name NATALYA. Her original song “Aren't You Tired of Breaking My Heart” was featured in the short film Crystallica, and recipient of the 2021 Florence Film Award for Best Music Video.
As a live performer, Natalya has appeared at legendary venues including The Mint and Hotel Café in Los Angeles, House of Blues and the Museum of Making Music in San Diego, and Manhattan Center in New York.
Natalya continues to write, record, and release original music while mentoring young musicians, drawing on more than two decades of experience as a performing and recording artist.
